As chaotic as the preparation is, there's so much beauty in the process of executing a seamless fashion show. With the help of eclectic sound, this video captures the subtle details that are often over looked.

I want to give you Effer's a glimpse of the materials that I'm using for a few peices I'm working on which will include crazy fun dresses and skirts. :)
Saturday September 18th - I thought of a rose through a brass knuckle and wanted it asap...
...And thanks to my artist Jeff Pageau at McInnis Tattoo, I've started my right arm. He did the six shooters on the inside of my right wrist a few months ago. I guess he's used to me going into the shop and asking for shit like this lol. Honestly, I like his ability to make something like brass knuckles look fancy. He's a showoff when it comes to that!
Stellar shit. Check out this Porn is The New Punk Rock video by Sandy Poirier, megaowner of Shag Salon. Porn is The New Punk Rock is Sandy's t-shirt line that debuted during the September 17th fashion show at Gypsy Bar - Boston.
I was elated when I got the opportunity to model in this Shag Fashion show last Friday night with my homie and fellow troublemaker Gia, aka OMGia. Sandy and his gang of stylist were crazy fun to work with and gave us colossal cotton candy-esque hair that would survive a category 100 hurricane! Effing HUGE...and Sandy kept yelling "Biggerrrr!". Along with heroic hair and makeup, dope skull bracelets were provided by Skullduggery. If you really want a mental picture of what backstage looked like just envision tattoos, flat irons, hairspray, open bar, models, and rockstar stylists.
I can't wait to see all of the pictures and videos from the show. Until then, here are a few random pics that I took amid the chaos:
Gia mulitasks while in hair and makeup...
The result...megahair...Fuego
Sandy Poirier (front arm) and me (back arm)...
Me and Gia...a cosmic collaboration of trouble >:0
...Running around Boston with Gia is never boring...Just bring heels, attitude, lip gloss, and bail money ;)
I want an old fashioned house, with an old fashioned fence And an old fashioned millionaire....
...I like the old fashioned flowers, violets are for me - Have them made in diamonds by the man at Tiffany.
I'll stay weaving at my loom, Be no trouble to my groom, If he'll keep the piles of money mounting. In our cottage there will be A soundproof nursery Not to wake the baby while I'm counting.
Fuck Yes! Paint It Black by The Rolling Stones is an anthem for many of us Jagger lovers. I listened to this on repeat the other day and thought of how much it complimented current color trends within Autumn/Winter 2010-11 menswear collections. You all know how I feel about black and white right? Black is sexy and white is pure, sometimes. So before we're overwhelmed with bright spring/summer color trends conceived during fashion week, let's enjoy the darkness of my most desired season.
...Having said that I'm painting this post black for my boyz!
Being at Fashion Night Out was like swallowing a giant Ecstasy pill that made you feel like you were dancing in a circus filled with retail enthusiasts, oniomaniacs, sex addicts, gayer than gays, and Gaga's little monsters. The city was an effing zoo but the corruption was glamorous. Honestly, I felt high just off of all of the energy that was emanating from Manhattan. I didn't take pictures of everything beautiful that I encountered because it would've distracted me from being in the moment! ;)
So here are a few pics taken along the course of the night which includes stylish boyz, music pitstops, store visits, love, and hate...

Fashion Night Out was beneficial. I actually came back home inspired more so by art rather than by fashion, but the two are like intersecting roads that usually meet somewhere in the middle.
While I was in the city my girl showed me a gigantic Levi's book that was filled with photos of Andy Warhol, girls with chainsaws, jeweled skulls, and images of designers engineering denim. It wasn't as random as it sounds and every image told a story. That's what brought me to this video. Both Andy and Jean-Michel's work inspired a new direction and told stories of revolution. I luv seeing the collaboration of their minds at work...
We all have them...but I refuse to allow my dog Ninja to develop the habit of going after my shoes. Last week he started randomly pulling shoes out of my closet and hiding them under my bed. This Calvin Klein shoe seen in the photo above is his favorite shoe to harass. My girl told me that shaking a jar full of pennies helps puppies break bad habits... Hopefully it works :/
When executed correctly, the combination of print and textured fabrics adds timeless class to any dress. Diane Von Furstenberg is the Queen of telling stories through printed fabric.
...and printed body flattering dresses are like secret weapons- Fact.
So last night, after leaving Boston to head back to Providence, I felt so mentally drained that I could barely maintain basic conversation with people. A cocktail was definitely in order but I didn't think that I had the patience or the energy to be social. Then I thought "Fuck it". Got home and threw on my favorite black suede heels, cobalt blue cropped tweed coat, white cami, and my darkest slimfit Levi's. The theme of the night: High Heels & Vulgarity.
I stepped out and met up with my girl Mustang Sally for a few drinks in my neighborhood (Federal Hill). 2 glasses later we met Joey Gannascoli (Vito Spatafore on The Sopranos). I'll just say that we cussed a lot and shared good laughs... ...I know the laws of Omertà so that's all you re getting out of me ;)
So last night my bff Gillian and I decided to grab our nutz and bolt (Get it? Her blog tagline). Anyways, we decided to have a rated pg slumberparty that would entail dinner, wine, photoshoots, and jewelery making...Things that good girls do...
We made a pasta dinner that turned out pretty amazing, merked a bottle of zinf as we played with jewelry, and danced to her playlist which included every dancehall and reggaeton song ever made lol! After that session of fun, Gillian somehow talked me into watching The Jersey Shore, which is something that I've successfully avoided since the show started. Until last night, I could say that I never watched one episode. I live in a neighborhood that's a spitting image of it...so what do I need to watch the show for? Anyways, I was already feeling a little past tipsy when G and I finally sat down to watch it. I have to admit, I'm not that mad at it.
Snooki looks a lot like Lil' Kim... Wow.
In any event, this is the first piece that I made last night. I call this "The Outlaw" necklace. It's a long chain that holds a tiny six shooter, 357 Mag bullet, and another small fishscale chain attached to it. This is the first piece of jewelry that I've made in a very long time so I was pleased with the result.
Obviously Gillian had to outshine me...She made this necklace called "Namaste".
Lanvindesigner Alber Elbaz confirmed that they will be collabing with H&M on a collection for both men and women which is set to be released during the last week of November. Oui Oui!!
"H&M approached us to collaborate, and see if we could translate the dream we created at Lanvin to a wider audience, not just a dress for less. I have said in the past that I would never do a mass-market collection, but what intrigued me was the idea of H&M going luxury rather than Lanvin going public." --Alber Elbaz
H&M will release images of the collection on November 2.
