Iris Apfel, also known as "Rara Avis" (Rare Bird), is an 89 year old fashion consultant, legend, and accessories Goddess. She's definately someone to know about. I first read about her a few years ago while surfing through literature about her exhibit, Rare Bird of Fashion: The Irreverent Iris Apfel, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
