Bowtie overhaulers. Lace, leather, silk, denim, studs, skulls, or spikes. Christopher (Robot) Bennette and Bruce (Brucling) Franklin get my vote for best (unisex) neck accessory designers.
Chris, 23, and Bruce, 22, both of Boston, are the force behind the growing label Robot & Brucling . The two have no formal tailoring experience but have been mentoring with local garment guru, Roger Hinds of Hinds Lines & Designs who is also a friend, mentor, and sometimes life coach of mine.
The Phantom
The Knight and Phantom are two of my favorites in their collection but check out the other goodies on their site. There's something magical about reinventing a classic accessory like the bowtie and making it fresh for a new generation of ladies and gentlemen.
